Georgia with joint stand at Interpack for the first time

Even more than 60 years after its founding, there are always premieres at Interpack. This year, for example, Georgia will be represented with a joint stand for the first time in more than six decades of trade fair history. Reason enough to take a look.

For a long time, only a few people had Georgia on their radar when it came to packaging - this has changed in recent years. Because after the packaging sector grew along with the other established industries, it gained global attention at the latest in the last two years, when the worldwide supply chains collapsed and packaging materials were desperately sought after along with everything else.

"Our companies can often deliver within two weeks. And especially to the EU at very attractive conditions, as Georgia can deliver duty-free to the European economic area," explains Roman Kezherashvili, Chief Portfolio Manger Export Department of Enterprise Georgia.

Besides the EU, the EU and the Middle East are currently the most important target markets for packaging companies from Georgia, which mainly produce plastic solutions for the food sector, paper bags, adhesive tapes but also PET recyclate. "In the next 10 years, we expect the value of our packaging material exports to increase to 50 million US dollars," Kezherashvili comments on the growth expectations.

A total of six companies participated in this year's LEPL Enterprise Georgia joint stand in Hall 7.2, bOOTH E37: Adwise Group, Colorpack, Fabrica 1900, Greenpack, Mega Gold 999 and Polyvom.

"After just a few days, Interpack was a clear success for our companies and we have decided that Georgia will be back at the next Interpack - but then with a much larger stand than this year," Kezherashvili reveals in farewell.
